MUSHROOM SPREAD

INGREDIENTS

4.00 slices bacon

3.00 cups (1 lb.) chopped fresh mushrooms

1.00 chopped medium onion

1.00 minced clove garlic

2.00 tbs. flour

0.50 tsp. salt

0.25 tsp. pepper

8.00 oz cream cheese

2.00 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

1.00 tsp. soy sauce

0.50 cup sour cream

DIRECTIONS

Cook bacon until crisp. Cook mushrooms, onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons of drippings until tender and most of liquid

has evaporated. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add cubed cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Heat

and stir until cheese is melted. Stir in sour cream and crumbled bacon. Heat, but do not boil. Makes 2-1/2 cups. Serve

on rye bread rounds, crackers, or melba toast.
