Sag Paneer (Cheese Cooked with Spinach)
Ingredients :
Indian cheese, cubed
Tinned spinach
Fresh tomatoes, cubed
Coriander, finely chopped
Vegetable oil or butter
Garlic and ginger
Onions, finely chopped
2 tsp Mixed curry powder
1 tsp Garam masala
2 tsp Tomato puree
1 tsp Salt
Method :
* Heat the oil or butter in a pan then add the garlic and ginger and cook until brown. Add the onions and cook until brown.
* Add the curry powder, garam masala, salt and tomato puree. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring, until all the spices are thoroughly blended.
* Add the cheese, spinach and tomatoes and cook for 10-15 minutes. Add water as and when needed to reach the desired consistency.
